Yes. All Deccobond adhesives are solvent free, odor free, non-flammable, and VOC compliant — making them safe for indoor use in residential and commercial settings.

Yes. Most Deccobond products are LEED credit eligible due to their low-emission, eco-friendly formulations.

Application & Dry Time

How long does it take for Deccobond adhesives to dry?

Most Deccobond adhesives dry in 2–3 hours and reach full cure in 24 hours. Avoid heavy traffic or stress on the floor until fully cured.

Are Deccobond adhesives compatible with radiant heated floors?

Yes. Most products in the Deccobond line are specifically formulated to be compatible with radiant heated subfloor systems.

Can I use Deccobond adhesives in wet areas like bathrooms and kitchens?

Yes. Products like Deccobond 39 are moisture resistant and suitable for bathroom and kitchen installations. For full waterproofing, use Deccobond WLO 101.

Coverage & Sizing

How much coverage do I get per bottle?

Coverage varies by product. As a general guide, Deccobond 18 and 39 (500ml) cover approximately 500 linear feet per bottle. Larger format products (3.5 gal) are designed for professional, high-volume installations. Check individual product pages for specific coverage details.

Which size should I choose?

For small DIY projects, a single 500ml bottle is ideal. For larger installations or contractor use, our multi-packs (x2, x6, x12) and gallon formats offer better value and fewer interruptions on the job.

Substrate Compatibility

What surfaces can I use Deccobond adhesives on?

It depends on the product. Deccobond adhesives cover a wide range of substrates including natural wood, laminates, vinyl plank & tile, rubber tile, carpet, concrete, and more. Check the individual product page for a full list of compatible substrates.

Can I use Deccobond 38 to repair squeaky floors without replacing boards?

Yes! Deccobond 38 and the FIX-IT Drill & Fill Repair Kit are specifically designed to fix hollow spots, squeaks, end-lifting, and delamination in engineered hardwood floors — without sanding or replacing boards.

Clean-Up

How do I clean up excess adhesive?

Use Deccobond Glue Remover for clean-up of tools and surfaces. It's effective on urethane glue, contact cement, stickers, and other adhesive residues.

Is Deccobond Glue Remover safe for all surfaces?

Deccobond Glue Remover is an industrial-strength general-purpose remover. Always test on a small inconspicuous area first before applying to delicate surfaces.

Certifications & Standards

What certifications do Deccobond products carry?

Depending on the product, Deccobond adhesives meet or comply with: EN204 Type II D3, LEED credit eligibility, VOC compliance, OSHA compliance, and the Uniform Plumbing Code (WLO 101 for bath & shower pan waterproofing).
